July 2019 with #structuresofvenice

I had a dream about being on board, and I happened to be on board with @veniceonboard! Amazing experience! If you are looking for a unique, fun, educative, amazing experience in Venice, come to row with them and learn how to do that with these lads.

Perfectly doable for all kinds of ages, and you will see calmer Venetian canals of Canareggio. You will get first-hand Venetian experience and will truly immerse to the place.

July´s gallery is starting with a unique view of the boat. I have been the guest of Venice On Board. This company of young passionate men is dedicated to the reconstruction of old boats. They are also teaching locals and tourists rowing. Everybody can take a lesson or more seriously a few lessons to learn this craft. Moreover, it is a unique way how to see Venice! If you have an adventurous spirit and would like to try it, visit the site of guys and reserve your lesson.

Handwritten typography Venice.

I have created letters inspired by Venice. May I inspire you to sketch, draw, sing, do the things that make you happy. If you happen to be in Venice, use the time to observe tranquil canals, by streets. Take a small notebook and make notes, write down what made you happy.

I am always happy to see your creations. You can share them via using hashtag #structuresofvenice on Instagram, sending in pm on www.instagram.com/structuresofvenice, or sending by email listed on this site. Let´s support a new fresh art. If you like this poster, you can download it here (by clicking on the image up).

A detailed look at the workshop, where essential parts of the gondola are being created. Dedicated crafts and being able to transfer needs of particular gondoliers or boat users are happening here. ⚓Hand-carved piece, each in individual shape is born and it is called 'forcola'.

Next time you will see handsome gondoliere passing around in gondola, see this piece based cca in the middle of a gondola, where the paddle is being set. . Photography detail of interesting place in sestiere Castello – atelier di Paolo Brandolisio. Mr Brandolisio is famous for hand-carving of part of the gondola- its name is forcola. You can have a glimpse of his atelier through the window on the doors to the atelier and feel the smell of wood and experience the building process.

Venice's clothing, textile production!😍

The detail on the vintage print of Venetian men´s dressing. The image is capturing noble persons. Venetians during La Serenissima had interest in ceremonials. Not only were they producers and importers of impressive fabrics, but they also enjoyed wearing them. This plate can be seen in Palazzo Mocenigo.

Eating out in Venice is an essential part of every days life. It means the good company and of course, good seafood! If you want to get a tip where to eat good fresh local dishes, with a pinch of modernity, head to SEPA. Note, there are not places to sit, but you can enjoy standing around wooden barrels and eating from recyclable plates.

Busy hands of the maestro of Ca Del Sol maschere – mask atelier in Castello. Venetian masks are a huge part of Venetian culture. It is easy to reach this atelier and choose unique souvenir – whther it is a small jewellery or artisan masks of all kinds.

All kinds of art and street art can be found in Venice. I am observing also these expressions of humans, it is simply part of today. Though, let´s remember it is officially forbidden to create street art and graffiti in Venice.

Not to forget, one of the strongest art events during this Biennale, or "season" was Banksy´s video, street art and his "performance all shared via his instagram profile. Hands down.

'And the last ship sails...' 🎼

I love observing Venetian waters, and how more, if painted and captured in the vision of the artists of a few hundred years ago.

Something changes and something stays the same.Detail of painting capturing magnificent Venetian boats. You can find a big collection of art referring to Venice in Pinacoteca di Ca Rezzonico.

Every day is a perfect day to explore Venetian interiors. This cute entrance room is one of a kind at 📍Ca' Mocenigo.

If you like to see Venetian interiors, this is the place. Small, but stunning 2 floors of Palazzo Mocenigo, named after its owners and inhabitants. To get here, take vaporetto to the stop San Stae or walk if you are nearby.

After standing on Accademia Bridge and enjoying one of the most famous views of Salute and Laguna, if you have a bit of time or feeling like a Sunday afternoon, pay a visit to the gallery of Venetian art. Usually, permanent exposition of Venetian art is to be found there and short- term expositions being held, also of contemporary art. You can buy your tickets on-site, usually, it is not extremely crowded.

Hopefully these images gave you strong dose of Venetian July. Even though Venice is also facing climatic changes with strange weather, as always, Venetians keep their heads up.
